Ooh mehn, 5 naira cant buy nothing no more.. Infact it is more or less useless these days since the stupid inflation hit the economy.. Sweet the used to be 5 naira now sell 3 for 20 naira.. Even sachet water is no longer 5 naira but 10 naira..so it is very useless...

  4. @teezhie that person selling "pure water" for 5naira for you must be your girlfriend. Because right now pure water is 10naira everywhere in Nigeria.

And as for what 5naira can buy in my area, I just bought 2 suppy spice today for 10naira. That means one is 5naira. There are still some few things that could be purchased at the rate of 5naira

N5 naira is still valuable, just that it's not being used enough. 5naira can still buy candy, spice for soup, etc :D

@curiousjames... I disagree with you on this very one because there is nothing five naira can buy for you in this country.
You are just saying things without even making confirmations.... Even children candy goes for ten naira and above.... Make your researches.

Guy man, no shaking tree... It would have only been bad if you had not come to terms with your derailing and apologized but since you have apologized, no wahala, you are good to go chatting and flexing as you like because this forum is meant for you.

N5 cannot buy anything these days. Before N5 can buy biscuit for kid but now the whole thing has changed drastically due to recession.

Five naira is now history when it comes to buying things... You can only buy things with it if it is many and amounts to a big sum.
Even our one and two naira coins, they were never banned, they are still legal tenders but due to their irrelevance, we hardly see them now .
